I began my career working in IT, which was by accident really, I'd always been much more interested in sport. That was where my interest in health stemmed from. However, I had a career and felt I needed to stick with it. Fast forward many years and I had become ill, being diagnosed with M.E./Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I had to find a solution, which is a long story, but I did it, and the career that I felt I needed to stick at, was a big part of the problem. The solution was simple, I had to change, and having Bowen treatment was the catalyst for that change.
It took a little while but my health, physical and mental improved, and I've never looked back. It gave me the clear thinking I needed to make some important changes in my life, one of those being a new profession. I started on my journey in 2010 as a Therapist of the amazing Bowen Technique. I have gone from helping people with their computer issues to helping people with their physical issues. I know what I prefer, and what is more rewarding for me.
I believe in a straightforward, logical approach to treatment. People often assume seemingly difficult problems will have complicated solutions. From my time in IT I knew it was almost always something simple. This also applies to the body, which although is complex, when you start with the basics, get the foundations right, it is amazing what will resolve. Just by simply getting the body structurally balanced, and tension removed will have a huge positive impact.
I qualified with the College of Bowen Studies, and since that time I have undertaken many courses and workshops to further enhance my knowledge and add to my skills as a therapist. You can see those courses I have completed below.
